Our Classes

Qigong

In this transformative Qigong (Chee gong) class, you will learn to cultivate and harmonize your life force energy, known as Qi. Rooted in ancient Chinese healing traditions, Qigong is a holistic practice that activates the body's natural healing abilities by promoting the flow of Qi within the body's energy pathways, known as meridians.

 

During this class, Deb Young, an experienced acupuncturist and Qigong teacher, will guide you through gentle flowing movements, mindful breathing, and meditation techniques restoring healing and balance to the body, mind, and spirit. 

 

By practicing Qigong you can expect to:

  • Improve balance, flexibility, and circulation. 

  • Reduce stress and anxiety.

  • Uplift emotions and relieve depression.

  • Improve sleep

  • Benefit the immune system

  • Reconnect you to your body’s divine intelligence and healing.

 

Whether you are new to Qigong or have been practicing for years, this class offers something for everyone.  This class combines floor, standing and seated movements and can be modified to accommodate all abilities.

Breath & Flow

Begin the day with intention, mindfulness, and gratitude. We will awaken the body  through a powerful vinyasa flow and incorporate ancient breathwork  techniques to calm and focus the mind

Rise, Shine & Sculpt

This class is a combination of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), dumbbell and body weight strength and toning, mobility, and mindfulness. We are going to wake up and activate the body through a full body workout. You will leave feeling strong, open, and ready for the day.

Forrest Yoga

Breath: It all starts with the ability to connect to, deepen, and ride the breath into your inner wilderness. You develop skill in breathing fresh, healing energy into the areas of your body that are in need.

Integrity: Forrest Yoga teaches you to become proficient at safely tailoring each pose to work for you, specifically with physical and emotional injuries. By learning to work honestly at your edges, you develop effective tools to deal with fear and struggle. This makes it possible for integrity, self-awareness and playful curiosity to become part of your daily life.

Strength: Connecting to the core, building emotional and physical strength as you work at your edges of facing and healing your pain, as well as vision questing into the Mystery.

​

Spirit: Learning to find your Spirit, connect to your Spirit, and take the actions that strengthen that connection.

BirthFit Classes

BirthFit classes are designed to encourage fitness from preconception through the first year postpartum. With a heavy focus on functional progression and core and pelvic floor health this class will teach you to move safely and effectively throughout pregnancy and beyond. Movement is proven to reduce negative birth outcomes and improve rates of recovery postpartum. This is a strength and conditioning class for moms who want to stay in shape as well as for athletes who want to continue moving their body as it changes.

This class is designed to help pregnant mothers feel strong and comfortable in their changing body as well as learn how to safely exercise throughout pregnancy. Not only is it a yoga and fitness class but there is a lot of birth preparation tips and tricks woven through each class. This class provides moms to connect with other mothers and create   community as they grow and change.

  • Renee holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and 12 years of teaching yoga, empowering her to seamlessly blend scientific principles alongside spiritual practices. Her dynamic approach ensures a well-rounded, whole hearted experience.

  • Deb, boasting over 35 years of experience as an Acupuncturist and Qi Gong student, offers a unique perspective on holistic health and energy cultivation. Her wisdom and guidance enrich our classes, fostering a deeper connection between mind and body.

 

Together, we are committed to guiding you towards your wellness goals, one mindful movement at a time. Our small class setting enables us to provide personalized attention, ensuring that each student receives the support and guidance they need to thrive.
